Sorry guys Hotfile have removed the links for ATM 241 following a complaint from a guy called Herve Lamaire from Leakid claiming to be acting for the owner of the copyright. This guy is a complete fraud - he attacks sites at random and makes these claims all over the net - even guys who have put up their own material and are the owners of the copyright themselves have found their links removed.
I will need to re-instate lix in to all the links as that appears to work and to keep this idiot at bay. Will re-upload ATM 241 elsewhere.

Yup it does look like Lix works in doing what they say it does.. takes an experience like this though to find out.. What could motivate anyone to constantly make crackpot claims is beyond me though .. I simply don't get it ..Cheers mate
ReplyDeleteNo he's started attacking the lix in files as well. 89 deleted so far. I've put in a counter claim to Hotfile. He has nothing at all to do with the Hendrix Estate or Experience Hendix or legit record company. The file sharing sites are running scared so will remove anything on the most spurious complaint. If the Hendrix Estate or Web Sheriff complained then fair enough - I'd remove the links and shut the blog. Otherwise on it goes. There are plenty more file sharing sites to upload to.

Hotfile at least allow me to make a counter claim which I have. I don't think this guy is operating in any official capacity and he has just over two weeks to file charges against me so we'll see .............

So far he has managed to get about 80 links blocked. I don't even have access to them.
There are no official releases here and nothing that should upset the Hendrix Estate. If they were upset they would have sent in Web Sheriff not this jerk.
We'll have to see what happens. Will re-upload one or two items elsewhere so I can restore a few of the frozen links and hope some other sites have heard of this guy and realise he's a complete fraud.
What better way to honor Jimi's memory & preserve his legacy than to keep others from enjoying what little he left us...

242 is working - for now. Will re-upload as many as I can as quickly as I can. Don't know what will happen with RS. Have emailed Hotfile to tell them I expect the links to be restored in 15 days which is the time limit for this idiot to serve me with court papers.

But I could find an alternate server.. I mean.. these are ATMs.. the holy grail of Jimi quality.. and I even bought time with HF so as I could get caught up.. I quit music so as I could be near me ol' dad.. my only contact with the old world I used to live in is via your, and others like yours, blogs.. as Me ol' dad takes ALL my time., what with his memory "issue". My mum was taken into hospital on Friday so this is something I could have done without. If this guy had any legitimate connections he would have killed the blog not just a few links. He's obviously put the frighteners on File Factory. Uploaded a couple of links to them which were pulled immedately. Will write to them tomorrow and start the Counter Claim procedure there. On their FAQ it says that they will ban anyone who turns out to be a fraud - including those who register fake complaints so he might have shot himself in the foot. We can ride this one out. It's a pain having to upload everything again but went through it once with Megaupload and we're still here so we'll get through this as well.

Oh dear. I know how difficult it is. My mum was insisting yesterday when I went to see her that she was in a bar and everybody was drinking. No amount of trying to reassure her she's in hospital would work. I'm taking a day off and leaving the nurses and doctors to care for her today. Could do with a long sleep.

Anyhow here's the email I received from Hotfile so all the dead links should be restored in a couple of weeks - in the interim I'm uploading as many files as I can elsewhere
